let g(x) be the reflection of f(x)=2x-7 in the x-axis. What is the function rule for g(x)?

OpenStudy (kmeis002):

A function is reflected about the y axis if \[f(x) = -g(x) \] That is, for the same x value the functions are negatives of each other. So, if that is true then take f)x_ and multiple through by a -1 to obtain the axis. Try and graph the two to verify.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

g(x)=-2x+7

OpenStudy (ranga):

Yes.
