How do you reduce this fraction? I keep getting the wrong answer somehow (5e^x)/2sqrt(86+5e^x) notice in the 2 sqrt the 2 is apart of the square root. ITs not multiplying them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the 2 is part of the square root meaning it is the 2nd root ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes correct! sorry It is the 2nd root

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hm.. not sure how to reduce it. do you want to eliminate the radical from the denominator ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Honestly I am not sure, it just says to reduce the it in order for it be correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you have an example from the textbook?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yea Let me get a new problem and ill post the solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to get rid of that radical, though, you could multiply the fraction like this . . |dw:1382380622334:dw|
