Find the slope and the y-intercept of the equation y − 3(x − 1) = 0.

OpenStudy (ranga):

Rearrange the equation and put it in the form y = mx + b Then m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the form would be y=0x-3 so how would i do it from there?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nooo it would be y=3x-3

OpenStudy (ranga):

So m = 3 and b = -3. Slope is 3 and y-intercept is -3.
