it would be positive because a negative plus a negative is positive. ;)

@the_smart_blonde That is incorrect. A negative number TIMES a negative number gives you a positive number. A negative number PLUS a negative number is a negative number (like adding two positive numbers, just with a negative sign in front). A negative number plus a positive number is like subtraction on the positive number.
