Yes^ remember that the sign only switches if u devide or multyply by a negative like
exmple:
-2x<8
x>-2

okay, which way would the sign go? I know they are both open circles

The solution is: -1 < x < 4
There should be a open circle at -1 and at +4
And the solution will be the line joining those two points on the x axis.
