b^2-4ac=-63 since the discriminate is -63 there will be two real solutions. the solutions will be rationilized since -63 is not a perfect square. i will be factoring to solve because factoring is the eaisest. please help 1. do i agree with her analysis what method would you use ??

You would use completing the square if you wanted to find the actual imaginary roots. Thats not what you wanted in your problem.

i don't know if I can help. But I think if the discriminant is already less than 0 or negative, then there will be no solutions for it..unless you want an imaginary number as a solution..
