work out the inner brackets ( ) first then outer brackets [ ] then do the division then multiply by 2

Okay. 40 + 5 is 45. You do your parentheses first. Then your brackets. which are [ and ].. 45 - 32 is 13. Your problem is now 13 ÷ 9 • 2. Now, follow PEMDAS. In case you don't know what that is, its Parentheses Exponents Multiply Divide Add Subtract. So, 9 • 2 is 18. Your problem is 13 divided by 18. Do you still need help?
