Plot the points onto graph. Determine the horizontal asymptotes of the graph. PLEASE HELP. x= -10, -8, -6, -4, -2, 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 y= -1.4711, -1.446, -1.406, -1.326, -1.107, 0, 1.107, 1.326, 1.406, 1.446, 1.4711

-1.5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do you find horizontal asymptote for this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just look at where it got real close to but never really touching it. But this table was kind of confusing to read so my answer could be wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well according to the real problem it only gave the x values and the y values were blank. So in order to find the y values the problem asked to use y= arctan (x).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So after i used that i got what i got for the y values.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh, well keep doing that calculation and see if it passes -1.5 or 1.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh wait, can it be both -1.5 and 1.5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

arctan(x) has no asyptotes.
