-8 (a+b)=

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

Just distribute the -8 to both variables: -8(a + b) -8ab

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

Did you understand or do you need a better explanation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

np

How maybe a better explanation

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

Well -8 has to be distributed to a+b. First we distribute to -8, so we have -8, and now we distribute it to b, -8b, and now we have -8a + -8b which is -8ab

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

ACtually, I think I did that last part wrong.

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

Yep, it's just -8a + -8b sorry

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

or just -8a - 8b

Thanks
