simplify: cos^2(x)tan(x)+sin(x)cos(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

tan (x) = sin x/cos x so cos^2x (tan x) = sin x cos x Therefore, sin x cos x + sin x cos x = 2 sinx cos x or you can write that as sin(2x) becuase the double-angle formula for sin(2x) = 2 sin (x) cos (x).
