| 3 x + 2 | > 4 I need help how to solve this?

OpenStudy (azureilai):

You can set 3x+2 = 4 and solve for x. That gives you one of the two values. For the other one set the equation 3x+2=-4 to solve for the second x value. Then, since it is a greater than equation, the x<(the value you got when solving for -4) or x>(the value you got solving for 4)
