PreCalc: let Z(t) be the number of people in the mall at t minutes after they break through the doors. A model for this situation is given by Z(t) = 4(1.234)^t. The percent change per minute is 23.4. 1. Find an exponential model for Z of the form Z(t) = a(e)^(rt). 2. Solve Z(t) = 1000

Im not sure what you are trying to say here

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

haha im not really sure what the textbook writers are trying to say :) lets go with typical exponential model where "r" is rate per minute, "a" is initial value \[Z(t) = 4e^{.234t}\] set equal to 1000, solve for "t" using natural log

my teacher made the problem up actually, but thank you for your help nevertheless
