Supposed to state why (log x)^k..does not simplify into klogx ? is it because of the parenthesis?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Becuase ONLY log(x^k) = k log x You CANNOT say that (log x)^k = k log x..thats just not one of the laws of logs.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh. ok. excellent. So then what form would It simplify to? just log x^k?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

does not simplify to anything in particular.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ahh. ok. thank you very much.
