where is my small group?

OpenStudy (marsbcn):

this is a good question. Did you receive an email with the subject "Get started with the Mechanical MOOC--add your pic to your Class Photo" ? There is a link there. I'm not able to find my group if I'm not using that link either.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@MarsBCN When I use that link, it takes me to the class photo, but I don't see anything about a small group. Is there another link?

OpenStudy (marsbcn):

the only link I found is the one in that email that takes you to the class photo. Sorry. The first time I visited the class photo I assumed that these people were my small group but when I went to the class photo site today, there were not the same guys so… I guess I was wrong.

At least it's the same link! Thanks so much for your input!

During the previous sequence of the Mechanical MOOC, we received an email about how to communicate with our groups a couple of weeks into the course. It might be that P2PU makes a decision about the size and organization of the groups based on their observations of how much MMOOC activity they observe on OpenStudy and Codecademy during the first couple of weeks. Maybe @MOOC-E will let us know what to expect. One important thing ... Once you are informed about how to communicate with your group, it's a good idea to participate in it. That way, you and the other group members have an additional means of the discussing the course material in addition to OpenStudy and the Codecademy Q&A forums, but in this case, one that is specific to the Mechanical MOOC.

OpenStudy (marsbcn):

@AppylPye ok, thanks for the info. @paige_pj you're welcome

Hi, sorry, more information on small groups soon. We've changed up our approach slightly and it's thrown off our communication on the issue. A glitch, but not healthcare-marketesque, we hope.

Hey everyone. You should have received a email about your groups yesterday (25 Oct 2013) if you chose to participate in a group during signup! Sorry about the confusion.
