Hey, can I please have some help with this: Write down the cartesian equation of the tangent and normal to the following parabolas at the points indicated. 2. x = t, y = t^2/2 + 3 at the point where t = 2

well just find the slope

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

to start... substitute t = 2 to find x and y... this will be the ordered pair you need. next substitute x for t in the y equation. then find the 1st derivative... next substitute the x value from the ordered pair... to find the slope at the point.. then its all downhill for the equation of the tangent and equation of the normal.

are you still there?
