What are some facts about Talmud and the Kabbala?
What exactly do you mean by that? (I am an Orthodox Jew)
I can give you staff that you won't even find online, some things that only Jews know. What period of time do you need?
Anytime time period
Where should I start from? The begging of Talmud, or the Mishnah?
I'll give you couple definition first, OK?
Ok
Mishnah - earlier part of Talmud's teachings Talmud (or the Gemara) is later teaching. Mishnah was made by Rabbi Yehuda Hanasi- (Hanasi- The prince, who is generally refereed to in the Talmud as "Rebi" ) he organized all the earlier teachings all of the information into what is known as the Mishnah. Gemara, was made by Rabbi Ashi, and Ravina. The organized and got all the information down. The people in Gemara (Which was after Mishnah ) are known as Amoraim and can't argue against what the "Tanaim" the scholars of the times of the Mishnah had said. (W/ some exceptions, like "rav", who was part of Tanaim, and Amoraim, who was therefore able to argue against what Tanaim had previously said.) basics.
Kabbala, is something that is more enclosed. Only few people in this Generation know how to use it. If I tell you some stories that the Jews (me also) believe to be true, you will say it is a magic, but it's not...
What type of facts do you need?
