OpenStudy (rane):

@ash2326 how can my SS decrease? it was on 68 yesterday but now its no 67

OpenStudy (ash2326):

SS decreases if you're not helping enough or not asking questions and other people are doing so. If you want it to increase, help some users :)

OpenStudy (rane):

well, I was doing a lot yesterday and that's y it went up to 68, so after that I just logged in now, and it was already changed to 67. which shows that it decreased while I was offline ?

OpenStudy (ash2326):

Even if you were online and inactive it would have decreased. I'm not sure about the inherent algorithm how it works.

OpenStudy (rane):

so it can decrease while the users are offline ?

OpenStudy (ash2326):

I'm not sure about this, maybe @Preetha can tell :)

OpenStudy (rane):

ahan, I really don't get this

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

If you got a medal for a question that was deleted. Say you told someone it was proper to post elsewhere, another person or two gave you medals for this, then a moderator deleted the message, those medals can go by-by. If you were right at the border between 67 and 68, that could do it.

OpenStudy (rane):

@Preetha

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

shadowfiend just let this gem go: The SmartScore formula has a degree of relativity once you get past a certain level, so there is no set number of anything that will cross you past a threshold, it also depends on what other users are doing. To me, that means the actions of others and changes in their score can adjust the relativity factor... thus, down.
