PRE CALC HOMEWORK HELP!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Solve the polynomial equation. f(x)= x^3 - 4x^2 + x + 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Solve? That function has quite a few different values. Do you want to find the roots?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It just says solve

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To solve for the roots, you need to factor it. Since it won't factor by grouping, use synthetic division to search for a root. After you have found the first factor, you should be able to factor what's left pretty easily.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What you have there has nothing to solve.

Cool, thanks
