Algebraic Expressions (x+3)(x-2) I'm not sure how to do this, would the answer be 3 x 2 = 6 , x + x = x^2 = 6x^2 ? And then (5x^3 + 15x) / (5x) = 3x^2 ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(5x^3 + 15x) \div (5x)\] Just incase people are confused with the second question.

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

\(\bf (x+3)(x-2)\implies x^2-2x+3x-6\\ \quad \\ \cfrac{5x^3 + 15x}{5x}\implies \cfrac{\cancel{5x}(x^2+3)}{\cancel{5x}}\)

FOIL METHOD .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

aha im still trying to find out how he solved the first problem

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

just do FOIL as CGGURUMANJUNATH said, or just multiply the terms in one binomial, by the terms of the other
