i gtg i got practice

OpenStudy (ranga):
Angle A = Angle B
Angle B = Angle C
So Angle A = Angle C
3x + 10 = x^2
Solve for x
OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):
oh i looked at it all wrong
thinking it was a polynimal
oops

just got back from band practice
OpenStudy (ranga):
It is a quadratic equation. Subtract (3x + 10) from both sides and solve the quadratic equation for x.
OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):
ok yeah i definately looked at it all wrong by mistake
OpenStudy (ranga):
What do you get for x?
OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):
before or right now
with this one you told me about to try

now.
OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):
x^2 is x
right?
OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):
so i know i am calculating it right
OpenStudy (ranga):
what do you mean x^2 is x?
OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):
if you x X twice you still have x right?

x=5
OpenStudy (ranga):
Yes. And make sure what the question is. Are they asking you what x is or what the angle is? If it is x you can say x = 5. But if it is the angle, you have to put x = 5 for either of the angle and calculate the angle. Both angles should give you the same value for x = 5.
