Hmm well I can say pretty confidently that to prove that square root 5 is irrational: ~You would assume that sqrt5 is `rational`. ~Then through some different steps you can show there it leads to a contradiction.
wow, thank you! i think that i was over thinking this whole problem thinking i couldnt contradict that answer because the square root of 5 is irrational therefore it is true. @zepdrix
