Can someone please give an example of an infinite set?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(-∞,∞)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which is just \(\mathbb{R}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk what that is

a set is just a grouping of certain objects or numbers, all you have to do is make it go on forever. @chanreagen has a good one.

An interesting aside is, what type of infinity is it? There is actually more than one. In particular the set of integers is countably infinite but the set of reals is not.
