How do you work Inequalities??? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!! URGENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you mean by work inequalities? Do you mean solve them?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

Okay well, that depends on what kind of inequality it is. If it has fractions, division, more than one variable, etc. I'll show you an easy inequality to help get you started. 5y>10 First, divide each side by 5. Since it's multiplication, you do the opposite. The two 5's on the left side would cancel out, and you're left with y. On the other side you would have 2, since 10/5=2. Final answer should be y>2

There are also inequalities that can have a line under the inequality sign.(<, >) This just means it can be less than or equal to or greater than or equal to.

Thank you, I have trouble sometimes, sometimes I forget steps, or i get them in the wrong order, something like that
