Use sleep and activity in school, determine if the correlation is positive or negative. does sleeping improve your performance? if it does that is a positive correlation. hours of sleep increase, activity increases. use that example to find a negative correlation. when sleep is deprived, activity goes down. do you get it?

OpenStudy (ranga):

Positive correlation: As total hours spent on studies increases the test scores increases. So you can make up a table like this: Hours Studied Test Score % 20 40 25 50 30 60 35 70 40 80 45 90

OpenStudy (ranga):

Negative Correlation: As the temperature increases, the number of winter coats sold by some local store decreases: Temperature Number of winter coats sold 10 200 20 150 30 100 40 50
