it is 2 just act like the x isn't even there subtract the 4 from the six, so 6-4=2x you need the x after the 2 or the answer isn't correct.

I thought you couldn't subtract or combine things that aren't like terms.
So 4x+6 = 4x + y beause you can't combine either right?

$$4x+y-4x=6-4x$$
$$y=6-4x$$
$$y=-4x+6$$

$$Slope=-4$$
