OpenStudy (mony01):

h(x)=-3x^4+x^3+2x, compute h'(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-12x^3+3x^2+2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

try that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to find the derivative of x say its 4x^3 You do 3*4x^(3-1) giving you 12x^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you understand?

OpenStudy (mony01):

Thanks. Do you know how to do this problem. Consider the curve x^2 + 4xy +y^2 = 13 Which one of these three points is on this curve: (1,1), (2,1) or (1,-2) and why? Find slope of the tangent line to the curve at that point.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im sorry im not exactly sure how to do that and i dont want to assume and mess it up
