Find the area of the shaded region if the area rectable's area is x^2 + 5x - 7 and the area of the square is x^2

i have no idea how to solve this.

@pufss What is shaded? Is the shade the portion of the interior of the rectangle that is not part of the square?

The larger part is shaded in grey the smaller part is just blank white.
