Write an inequality for the graph.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a. y ≤ |x + 3| – 1 b. y ≤ |x – 3| + 1 c. y ≤ |x – 3| – 1 d. y ≥ |x – 3| – 1

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

what's the vertex of the graph..?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I literally have no idea how to do this at all...like it all needs explained...

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

or... what value of x makes x - 3 = 0 and is x - 3 is zero, whats the y value... that will be the vertex

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x-3=? that would be the vertex?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

the vertex of the graph is at (3, -1)

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well that may be the x value of the vertex...

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

since the shading is below the graph its <= as the inequality so that means you can rule out choices b and d b has the y value as 1 and d has >= so its a or c
