Discuss the dual nature of electromagnetic waves and how they travel in a vacuum and through a medium.

EM waves travel in a medium in such a way that they give their energy to the atoms they coincide and they are created after instantaneously by the same atoms. In vacuum, there is no atom to collide so they show wave behaviour other than energetic particles which are photons.
