Geometry help in Study Island D:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I see with the first one, I don't know much about it, but they are similar because if you rotate the figure, and enhance it to the same size, they will be the exact same (the first screenshot)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

should you rotate first, or reflect across y axis first? and then do you think you should dilate it by a factor of 2 from the origin, or 1/2 from the origin?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Reflect about the y-axis is the first step. Rotate 90 degrees clockwise around the origin is the second step. Translate up 2 units is the third step I think. And then dilate it by a factor of 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Maybe it is rotate first then reflect?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay i thought reflecting first was right. and then rotate.. okay i'll check to make sure, i think you're right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait yeah rotate first would be right, then to reflect. lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright, do check though, I did this a while back but its hard to remember xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh wow i only got 1 out of all of those right :' D i got the translate up 2 units right. i wonder if we should have reflected first, then rotated. and maybe it was 1/2 origin

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ouch, sorry about my mistake :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

those were probably the right answers, i'll just do the opposites next time when i can go through missed questions and try again. : ) thank you for helping!xx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no it's okay, you're fine! thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can someone help me?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

With what? I can most likely help out!

OpenStudy (anonymous):
