I know this is math, but is anyone good with poetry?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Kinda... What do you have?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have to write an original poem connecting romeo and Juliet and the song "cant help falling inlove" by Elvis.. I am not good with poetry.. At all haha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you could give me pointers, ideas, start me off, anything..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No idea how to help you with that... Writing a free form poem is probably easiest.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I always just write poems with a rythm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u should put this in english...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay have you read Romeo and Juliet?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ive tried in other subjects and no one helps ahha I guess I'll try again

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you know the basic concept of the story (Romeo and Juliet) as well as what the song is about you need to find things in common, so what I would do is make a list of the things in common

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ive never read it..\:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha okay, so it is about a boy from one let say clan who falls in love with a girl from their rival clan as their love grows they have to keep it in hiding because their parents and families disapprove

OpenStudy (anonymous):

at the end of the story Juliet send a letter to romeo saying that she is going to fake her own death

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so that they can be together, romeo never gets the letter however he hears of juliets death. he then goes to her "grave" and kills himself. She wakes up and see him dead and kills herself

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its a very tragic/romantic story about not being able to chose who you love etc.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

does that make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, I guess haha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay lol. here are the lyrics for the song: Wise men say only fools rush in But I can't help falling in love with you Shall I stay, would it be a sin? If I can't help falling in love with you Like a river flows surely to the sea Darling so it goes Some things are meant to be Take my hand, take my whole life too For I can't help falling in love with you Like a river flows surely to the sea Darling so it goes Some things are meant to be Take my hand, take my whole life too For I can't help falling in love with you For I can't help falling in love with you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so in the sing he repeats "I cont help falling in love with you"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So i would use this in your poem. *cant

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can reword it or whatever to fit the context of your poem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay this is going to suck but here an example: Romeo loved Juliet although their families it did stir Romeo could not help loving her

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you do not have to rhyme in a poem, however I find it easier

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Actually, that helped a lot haha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay cool :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you so much for your help and effort, Ive been having problems with this for weeks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem. Oh that sucks. I am sorry
