The lodge at the Three Lakes Resort is offering the following two options for a holiday weekend. Option 1: 3 nights including six meals for $132.00 Option 2: 3 nights including two meals for $109.00 At these rates, what is the average cost per meal?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the base price would be the same, the room is independent of meals., it is possible to write an equation for this problem.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3 night + 6 meal = $132.00 3 night + 2 meals = $109.00

we can notice there's just a difference of 4 meals in the plans. (they both have 3 nights, they both have also 2 meals in common) only difference is one has 4 meals more than the other. also, only difference is $23. then, you can get the avg price per meal with this information, if the 2 cost the same like the additional 4.
