A biconvex lens is placed on an optical bench with a point-like object positioned on the left hand side and a plane mirror positioned anywhere on the right hand side. They are aligned such that an image is formed in the object plane, i.e. the image forms exactly at the position of the object, independent of the mirror position. The separation between the object and lens is found to be exactly 50 cm. Draw the principle ray diagram of the above set up. Anyone got any ideas? Everything I draw is in the opposite optical plane.

Try to use that applet (in French, but it is not so important) http://web.cortial.net/bibliohtml/autcomir.html
