While the Industrial Revolution had both positive and negative effects on society and the economy, the positive effects outweighed the negative. The Industrial Revolution’s positive definitely outweighs the negative. Even though it was the cause of the great depression, we wouldn't have any of the technology we have today. Also, If it hadn't occurred any advances we have today wouldn’t exist. Not only that, but it also brought factories, immigrants, and caused westward expansion which all benefited America! Also, without it we would still be living in the blind like we were before.

For example new advancements were things like motor cars which was the basis for cars we use today. It shapes how America progressed as a nation. Additionally the industrial revolution started the time when women’s rights became prevalent and if that hadn’t happened women and men would not be equal in the business world. So, in conclusion, if america hadn't progressed in that time like it did, despite some major setbacks that were involved in it, it made america what it is today.
