Graph the solution set of the system of Inequalities:

OpenStudy (ell):

|dw:1382567673218:dw|

OpenStudy (ranga):

Isolate y on the left for each of those inequalities. I will do the first one. x + 3y >= 3 subtract x from both sides 3y >= -x + 3 divide both sides by 3 y >= -1/3x + 1 You just plot the straight line y = -1/3x + 1 since y >= -1/3x + 1, the region of interest to us will lie above that line including the points on the line because of the = sign. Do the same with the other inequality. The region shared by both the inequalities will be the solution.

OpenStudy (ell):

y=4x-8 i got the rest, thanx!

OpenStudy (ranga):

y >= 4x - 8 is the inequality. But when plotting you will use y = 4x - 8 to draw the straight line.
