spose the average is 84 bad checks per week if we want to find the probability for number of bad checks in 3 days ... do we restate the number of bad checks in terms of checks per day?
prolly better as an example: and ignore the 84 .... that was just spur of the moment spose a bank receives on average 12 bad checks a day; whats the probability of getting 15 bad checks over any 2 consecutive days?
does the average become 24 for the period? and calculate at x = 15?
\[exp(-14)\frac{24^{15}}{15%}\approx.0145747\] and answer key is: 0.014575, so im guessing thats correct :)
