OpenStudy (hrhsbull):

Indicate the equation of the given line in standard form. The line containing the median of the trapezoid whose vertices are R(-1, 5) , S(1, 8), T(7, -2), and U(2, 0)

OpenStudy (hrhsbull):

this is the problem idk how to set it up

OpenStudy (azureilai):

Do you know where the median of the trapezoid is?

OpenStudy (hrhsbull):

like this..... its tiny but there

OpenStudy (azureilai):

Ok, so to find the middle betwwen two points, you use the equation \[(\frac{ x_{2}-x_{1} }{ 2 })(\frac{ y_{2}-y_{1} }{ 2 })\] to get the coordinate. You want to use the mid point between R and S, and U and T. Tell me when you get them

OpenStudy (hrhsbull):

kk and thanks for helping

OpenStudy (hrhsbull):

\[x=\frac{ -5 }{ 3 }(8+1) y= \frac{ -5 }{ 3 }(-1+5)???\]
