if you have, try using the quadratic equation
If you use the discriminant \[b ^{2}-4ac\] and substitute the numbers in you get \[9^{2}+(-4x1x7)\] which equals 49-28 which = 21. because 21 is > 0 there are two possible answers. Those answers being -8.14005494464025 and -0.859945055359741
