A contractor employed 210 men to build a house in 60 days. After 12 days , he was joined by 70 more men. In how many days will the remaining work be finished.

First determine the man-days. Do this by multiplying 210 by 60. Compute man-days accomplished by the 210 men in12 days and determine man-days remaining by subtraction. Now divide the number of man-days remaining by 280 to determine the number of days remaining.
