|y+4|<1 A. -5

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

What's your plan for this one? It's less than, so you can write the compound inequality -1 < x+4 < 1 Now what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it c

@tkhunny

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

You tell me. I can't do all the work. It's against the Code of Conduct. How did you decide on "C"? Did you subtract 4 from all three pieces?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i subtracted 4 from both sides but its wrong it a or b

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

"Both" sides? That's very strange. There are THREE sides. (Two sides and a middle if you insist.) -1 < y+4 < 1 -1 - 4 < y+4 - 4 < 1 - 4 -5 < y < -3 Not sure why I was using 'x'! Sorry about that.
