what is an equation for the line that passes through points (-1,-4) and (1,4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first you need to find the slope. do you know how to do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know it has something to do with being set up (x1,y1) (x2,y2) right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes the point slope eqn is (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) that'll give you your slope to plug into y=mx+b then just use one of the (x,y) points to solve for b gotta go to class hope i could help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thank you ill see if i can figure it out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if not ill be back on in about 2hrs
