if y=f(x) then y=f(x)+k causes the graph to move k units down. true of false?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It causes a vertical shift, either up or down, depending whether k is positive or negative.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so k would move up..? so false?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In the problem, it doesnt state what kind of number k is. It could move it down if k < 0, it would move it up if k > 0. So this is a very poorly worded question and should be tossed.

oh okayy, thank you!
