Its is Polynomial Problems For the given functions f(x) and g(x),find f(x).g(x) (1) f(x)=4x^3,g(x)=x^2-8x-14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you stuck on setting it up? or doing the algebra? ^_^

Doing the Algebra ,It is a polynomial question and I dont even know it For the given functions f(x) and g(x),find f(x).g(x) f(x)=4x^3,g(x)=x^2-8x-14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, so we have: f(x) times g(x) which looks like this: 4x^3 times x^2-8x-14 which looks like this: (4x^3)(x^2-8x-14) and this is where you get stuck? its the exponents isn't it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes it look like this can you help me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4x^3 times x^2-8x-14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep ^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(4x^3)(x^2-8x-14) is what we have, and i'll do the first step in the algebra and see if you can fill in the rest ^_^ |dw:1382654387560:dw|
