I had thought the sample space would be the colors of the marbles; literally {blue, green, white, red, yellow} but that's not an option.... :/

the sample space is set of all possible outcomes from a probability experiment. If you don't have an experiment you don't have a sample space
so basically that would make 28 our answer than correct?

you shouldn't ...since it makes no sence
if you picked a marble at random then the sample space would consist of colored marbles (not numbers)...since marbles are what you are picking
