Two math questions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Write the equation of a line in slope-intercept form that is parallel to the line y equals 1 over 2 x plus 7 and containing point (-4, 7). Show all your work for credit.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Write the equation of a line perpendicular to the line y = x - 3 and containing the point (8, -2). Show all your work for credit.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The first one- Its just going to be 7=1/2*-4+c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then just solve right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For the first one I got c=9.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So now it's just the second one.....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Write the equation of a line perpendicular to the line y = x - 3 and containing the point (8, -2). Show all your work for credit. So would it be -2=8-3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope nevermind that doesn't come out XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y+3 = -1(x-8) y = -1x + 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then do I solve?
