The British taxed goods such as tea in order to pay for government in the colonies. Why would Americans protest the tea tax? -Americans did not want to pay taxes for anything. -Americans wanted to buy tea grown in the colonies. -Americans did not want to be taxed by those they did not elect. -The colonies wanted to join together and form their own country.
Help?
It is A. The colonists didnt want to pay taxes for the tea, so they through it all over board to protest the fact that they had to pay taxes, They dressed up like indians to make it look like it was all their fault and they couldnt get in trouble.
Thanks! :)
No problem
Actually it is C. They did not feel that Parliament should be able to tax them because they were not in the colonies.
Is it?
A is the distractor. Americans were okay with being taxed by the governments within the colonies, but did not want to be taxed by Parliament.
that's true.
Alright then
Kaitlynn8 is correct, i forgot that they didnt like the idea of being taxed by parliament
