How do I add, subtract and divide polynomials? Please give an example; Add: (x5 + 7x3 - 9) + (4x5 - 2x3 + 13) 5x5 + 5x3 + 4 4x5 - 5x3 - 4 4x5 + 9x3 + 22 5x5 + 9x3 - 22

Also, How to multiply!?

Directrix (directrix):

(x5 + 7x3 - 9) + (4x5 - 2x3 + 13) @acriley3 Add like terms.

Directrix (directrix):

For example, the x^5 and the 4x^5 are like terms. They have the same last name of x^5. So, x^5 + 4x^5 = 5x^5. Now, add the other like terms to get the sum of the two polynomials.

thanks!

Directrix (directrix):

What did you get for the sum of the two polynomials?
