Can anyone explain me Credit and Debit?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Credit is usually something that you can make payments to overtime. While debit is paying it all off at one time.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I want a mathematical aspect of it as i am gonna program it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So Credit is, balance=balance+amount?

hero (hero):

I'd love to see that program. What are you going to call it, Credit Vs. Debit?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No It's a BankAccount Program.

hero (hero):

Most simplisticly, credits are amounts added to an account. debits are amounts subtracted from the account.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Debit would be balance=balance-amount ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If the amount exceeds the transaction? What would we call that?

hero (hero):

It would still be the debit. It's just that your balance would be in the negative afterwards.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Um,So i won't let him do the transaction.Okay thanks :)

hero (hero):

Let who do what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if amount withdrawn exceeds the current balance they money won't come out.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the*

hero (hero):

If the amount withdrawn exceeds the current balance, the money might still come out (depending on your bank's credit limits) but either way the balance will be negative.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No we don't allow transaction more than the balance and yeah Thanks alot :)
