Milk of magnesia, which is magnesium hydroxide, is used to cure stomach acidity. What is the mode of action of this drug? A) Milk of magnesia is an acid that replaces the hydrochloric acid present in the stomach, thus relieving acidity. B) Milk of magnesia is a base that neutralizes the excess acid present in the stomach, thus relieving acidity. C) Milk of magnesia is a salt that neutralizes the excess acid present in the stomach, thus relieving acidity.
@jim_thompson5910 @agent0smith @goformit100 @Kfins99 @Luigi0210 Any of you guys able to help me? :)
B) Milk of magnesia is a base that neutralizes the excess acid present in the stomach, thus relieving acidity. it's a base. Stomachs have acid. I don't think salts are good at neutralizing pH, they're just neutral to begin with.
B) Milk of magnesia is a base that neutralizes the excess acid present in the stomach, thus relieving acidity. Last I remember talking about it

I'll have another Biology question soon, it's all about Acid.. So you can stalk me to see what I'm viewing haha.
