I don't want to give you the answer for your problem but I can show you the steps. 7/8 - 3/5 = ? First, find a common denominator. In this problem it's 40 because 40 is the lowest number that can divided by 8 and 5. Second, divide 40 by 8 which is 5, then multiply 5 by 7, which is 35. 35/40 Third, divide 40 by 5 which is 8, then multiply 8 by 3, which is 24. 24/40 Finally, subtract 35 and 24 which is 11. The answer is 11/40 Just plug these steps into your problem and there you have it.
